[εις επαινον δοξης αυτου] New comment on Nietzsche Misunderstood.

Andy Messmer has left a new comment on your post "Nietzsche Misunderstood":

Matt- don't give him more credit than he deserves. So he wants to highlight the beauty of the journey of life and all the rest- so what? He still has no BASIS. Who says that life is beautiful? If there is no God, how can we judge the music we listen to as good or bad? It is only good for me, or bad for me. Again, we have arrived at meaninglessness.

Additionally, it seems like Nietzsche talks out of both sides of his mouth: at times, as in this essay, he warns against divesting our world of its beauty by basing everything on mathematics (hence: don't let your world be cold), while in other essays of his, he warns against calling the universe "cold" and "harsh" because such statements imply that "good things" and "bad things" can be caused by nature (hence: the world is indifferent; sometimes favorable, sometimes cold).
